Concentration plays a key role in learning languages. If you want to study more effectively you should practice it on a regular basis. Here are 5 easy tips on how to do it:
1. Get rid of distractions
Make sure that nothing and nobody will disturb you. Create a calm space where you could easily concentrate on your tasks. It’s crucial to do this because once you get disturbed it takes a lot of time to become concentrated once again.
2. Train your concentration
If you see that you have some difficulties with being focused for a long time it means that you need to train it. Do not force yourself to do this. You brain has to get used to this. At the beginning concentrate on your task for 5 minutes and then increase it steadily up to about 50 – 60 minutes.
3. Take regular breaks
If you want your brain to work effectively don’t forget to take short breaks every 45-60 minutes.
4. Create an action plan
Decide on what you want to achieve and how much time you will devote to this to gain a sense of direction in your life and more focus.
